Rose,
I have heated grips from Custom Heat on my Vulcan. Check out . I'm pretty sure they make a set to fit the Savage, it's all dependant on handlebar diameter. They cost $124 which includes shipping, and expect to pay around $40 - $60 for installation if it's too much of a job for yourself. The price is well worth it because these puppies CRANK out the heat! I can ride down to zero degrees comfortably with them in conjunction with my heated vest. The CustomHeat grips are the best I have ever seen - Far superior to Hot Grips or wraparounds. They also complement Cruiser looks quite nicely.
I had the Hi/Lo switch mounted on my left side cover near the choke knob for ease of use while riding. I hope this info helps you out. Ride safe!
